Hi Everyone,

Here is the official announcement of AVP XV. The tournament will take place at MGM Grand on April 1st at 3:00pm (this is not an April Fools joke!!). There will be a Meet & Greet before the tournament, at 2pm.

Buyin: $120
Game: 1/2 NLH, 1/2 NLO (yes, No Limit Holdem, and No Limit Omaha!!)
Time: 3pm tourney, 2pm Meet & Greet
Structure: 30 minute levels (15 minutes of each game, at each level)

WE ARE CAPPING THIS TOURNAMENT AT 100 PLAYERS!!! Beyond that, we can't guarantee anyone else will receive a seat. Our last AVP event had almost 400 players, so we STRONGLY advise you to reserve your seat ASAP.

Similar to our last AVP event, there will be no shortage of prizes and giveaways, and we even talked MGM into getting us all pizza!!

Just noticed, doesn't this compete directly with the final day of the AVP tour event? Same day, one hour apart? Is that correct?

Yes, it coincides with the final day of the AVPT. If you bust out of the AVPT, you can still play in the AVP Meet.

Can I just RSVP here? I don't do the facebook thing.

I will be driving in on Saturday morning to play the AVPT event, so if I make it into day 2, then I may have to forget about this one, but I would love to play if it works out. Hard to say though, a deep run in the AVPT would be great too.

Also, a bit confused about the tourney with 1/2 blinds. I've never attended a meet. How does that work? sounds more like a cash game.

I'm in. Hoping Benton does a huge strategy article on Omaha High before the big event. I've played it a few times (limit only) but don't have a clue as to how to really play it well.

Some folks might say that about my Hold Em game, for that matter.
