Michael, I'm wondering if you could tell me approximatley how long you expect the NLHE tourney to last. I would like to particiapte but the 3:00 start sounds somewhat late since I work very early Monday morning. I would think it would be around 8-9 hours. Am I correct?

Actually, I think it will last quite a bit less than that. With a 3PM start, I would be surprised if it goes longer than 5-6 hours (maybe 7) tops.

Looking forward to being in LV and attending AVP XV - doing days 1A.. .and maybe 1B too - if I donk out
Looks like a great structure, love the deep stack and long blind levels, and nice to see a higher buy-in event that will offers some nice final table payouts.
Made final table cash last year at MGM, this year, eyes are on that trophy
It's hard to please all the folks for every buy-in level and every structure - but I think it's great to see AVP put together a "major event" format with the the structure set the way it is... a great warm up to this years WSOP 3-day events

I'm in if there's a seat left for me. Please add me to future invite lists for your tournaments. Thanks!!!

Debby, first welcome to the forums! Don't know if you made it down for the tournament yesterday, if so I hope you enjoyed yourself.
The best way to keep track of future AVP meets is to keep an eye on the boards here as they are always posted here. The next one is being discussed for around the June time frame.

After a grueling battle with some VERY sharp female players, I took it down around 130AM. When Donna and I got heads up, we agreed to chop the money evenly, and play for the trophy and the remaining bounty.
I ended up winning the tournament when I made a King high straight flush on the river in Omaha High.
Thank you to MGM Grand, Jon, Lizzy, and everyone that played and supported the meet!
