The Palms Poker Room is now offering Action Aces Mon-Fri. The following are the official rules;

Palms Poker Room
Aces Cracked Jackpot Promotion Rules

1. The Palms Poker Room Aces Cracked Promotion will run Monday through Friday, 7am until 11am, and 2pm-7pm Mon-Fri beginning on 4/28/2011 and will run until TBD.
2. Players who hold two aces as their two hole cards (pocket aces) and lose the hand at the showdown will win twice the amount of the pot up to $200, subject to the following conditions:
 The size of the pot, including house rake and jackpot rake, must be at least $10.
 If one or more sidepots are created, and the player loses the main pot or the main pot and one or more sidepots, the main pot lost or the main pot and the sidepots lost must contain at least $10 total.
3. There must be at least four active players dealt in the hand for a hand to qualify for Aces Cracked.
4. Maximum Payout of $200
4. A Palms Poker Room Shift Manager must verify all qualifying hands.
5. Discussion of a possible Aces Cracked jackpot during the hand, as determined by the Shift Manager on duty, may void payment for Aces Cracked.
6. To resolve a dispute regarding the time of a hand, the time corresponding to when the dealer cut by the deck, as shown by video surveillance, will determine whether or not the hand is eligible for Aces Cracked.
7. Players must be 21 years of age to participate.
8. Any dispute that is not covered by these rules will be resolved in a manner deemed by Palms Casino management to be the fairest to all concerned. Management reserves all rights, and may cancel, replace, or alter this promotion at any time.

Really??? Why is this important?
Seems like a legal loophole you stuck in there so you don't have to pay very many jackpots.

LOl. Unless I'm mistaken nearly every house in Vegas requires at least 4 active players to be eligible for a jackpot. And for the record, we have paid nearly 2k i 1.5 days of running this promotion... seems like a good bit of money to me.

Ah, I guess when you put it that way, you mean four players seated? Any less than 4 players and the table would break anyway. But if the players in a 9-handed game fold around to the button, then that leaves only 3 players in the hand to see the flop. Are you saying that's not enough to qualify for the promo? Because I've never seen that policy anywhere else, and would be deemed absurd.

4 players dealt in. Very standard. Seems like a good promo for the players!

I think it is a creative intriguing idea you"ve hatched with this. I haven't heard of anyone doing anything quite like this before. I think I understand your thinking behind this, and I look forward to giving it a try soon.

Here's hoping you really do mean item #5 above, are prepared to follow through by refusing payment a time or two to show it, and that you've had a clear conversation with everone working the day shift to make sure they're uniformly on board withthis - especially a few who will really want to be "unable" and unaware if you know what I mean. If so, there WILL be more silent cheers than the angry response you will hear loudest and soonest.

If this is still going on in the beginnning of june, i will hit up at least 1 day from 2-7 for sure. I think I have the correct strategy to maximize this kind of promo. Of course, I will probably go and never get the aa.

As long as 4 players to start the hand is all. only have to have 2 at showdown...

I couldnt agree more. Yes, I have had those conversations and aslo a few at the tables. I think the players are aware #5 will be strictly enforced and the staff knows as well...I have never had a problem upsetting a few sneaks for the greater good of the room
