There was some accusations of possible collusion at Palms, but of course, that was an accusation only.
Claims of collusion are always iffy and very table dependent (meaning that even if it happened once or twice doesn't mean it is anything to be concerned over), mainly because generally, even if it is being done at the lower limits (which is very unlikely), the two or three people doing it are often so bad anyway, that it only helps the game.
The only room in town where I personally feel that collusion MIGHT be a small overlooked issue is at Wynn, but that is just from what I have heard from several people, and speaking specifically of the mid limits.
There is a difference between collusion and softplaying. Softplaying might be happening at Palms (and any locals based room, really) as often many players are friendly with each other and may choose to softplay when against each other. I know I have done this a few times when I get very chummy with a reglular on occasion, and it is certainly not cullusion.

Of course there is some collusion at just about every room and I consider some types of softplay to be collusion. But I am very familiar with the Palms game and see nothing out of the ordinary there, the incidents of collusion there or anywhere else are generally pretty clumsy --often by players who don't even undertsand it isn't legal so they don't try to hide it. These attempts are pretty ineffectual and this is true at most rooms.
I have only witnessed one really good collusion team at work. It was at Harrahs and they were running the best hand play. When I reallized I could not beat ity, I got out of the game. I asked questions of some dealers and their answers confirmed my suspicions, the floor person overheard me and spoke with me, but she didn't really understand how that type of collsuion worked.
Any word on how the no limit games have been going at the Palms? Are they able to hold the no limit games all the time or do they die off? Basically I'm seeing how the action has been lately. Thanks.

The $1-$2 is going a little more often lately.
$2/$5 pretty much goes all the time but somees it goes down for a little bit in the early morning (like 8-9AM but I unerstand that when that happens its usually back up by 11-12).

Went by this room Saturday night. I had never been in the Palms and wanted to check it out. The casino was packed with young, rich, beautiful people. Loud and action packed. I got a players card and went over to the poker room. They only had 1 NL game going with a hand written waiting list of about a mile long. The guy told me they werent planning on opening another game, so I left. I asked about Psand but he wasnt there. Best I can tell they only had 1 dealer in the whole poker room.
This casino is for the young, the hip, the metro's, the emo's, the paris hilton crowd. I am a 44 year old man in desperate need of a back wax and a knee replacement. This place isnt really my vibe at all. If I was 20 years younger you couldnt get me out of there with a crow bar and a vat of axle grease. I didnt get to play poker there but I doubt I will ever go back.

Well if there was one game in the No Limit room there would be 1 dealer there, the other dealers would likely be in thimit Room next door. I got there at 2 AM and there were three NL games going by that time. You may have just hit a bad time where a rush opf players come along but they can't get a new game going until the shift dealer comes in.

Hey PSand! I am going to be in town fomr the 19th through the 23rd. I have a buddy who wants to play some at The Palms so we are going to check it out. I also heard they have some good video poker there, so I will probably play some of that too. I will let you know what I think...
