All right...first off Snevman had a hilarious breakdown of exactly what your dream meant, I think it was spot on...second, TBC has resorted to blogging about washing drying and folding laundry. So I came here to find something more in depth. Hence please give us your take on Linsey Lohan's playboy shoot, will it be worth the purchase of said issue? Or perhaps how to play pocket 8's on the bubble with a medium sized stack on the button when folded around to you? .......I'd settle for food photo.

OMG I was out of town on training for a week and came back to work to start a week of 24x7 oncall and neglected my blog on AVP. TBC will learn how his photos/uploads work without my cell#. I will scout the LL Playboy spread and certainly report on it here. As for 88 in Lindy's situation I'm all about betting 4xBB preflop and following with a pot sized CB if the flop is non-flush/non-straight and checked to me by anyone in the hand that has played weak up until that point.

So... Saturday night was the monthly game with the guys from work and 11 showed up so we started with one table of six and one table of five players. With my interest in this poker league fading fast I decided to change up my play and even five-handed I played tight and limped almost every hand I entered pre-flop (in the 5-10 first level I have been known to open for 5BB followed by a continuation bet of $100 on the flop and $300 on the turn and the remaining $550-T going in on the river which I call my protracted all-in 5/10 move). In the first hour I think I had managed to almost double my starting stack of 1000T when the short stack at the table made an all-in move preflop (about 400T I think it was). And here is where once-a-month league game dynamics come into play. It might have been three mos prior that this player called a move I made on the turn on a board I thought I could move him off of his hand with. I busted out on that hand back in June or July I think it was. I HATE being the first one knocked out. I rekindled that HATRED on November 12th and called the all-in with 7-2off. I don't remember if it was the flop or turn but my 7 had come and the offsuit paint my opponent had did not make an over-pair. HILARITY ENSUED... I had made a decision to risk about 33% of my stack as payback for what had happened well over one hundred days prior. Which brings us to an interesting dynamic of league poker play: bad beats, bad moves, etc from previous games sometimes months prior can become a factor in the hand you are playing in the present tense.

For the night I ended up going out in fourth place after I had tried to limp 10s-3s in from the SB and the BB 3bet followed by one limper folding and my closing out the action with a call. The flop was pretty ragged but it four-flushed me which was what I had planned for the hand. I checked and BB made a CBet which I called. The turn was a 3. I suspected the BB had A-something or an overpair. I thought I could be either ahead or behind and decided to take a shot at taking down the hand with an all-in of about 1400T I think it was into a pot of about the same. If I was behind I had 9 spades, two 3s and three tens to draw to for 14 outs. The BB tanked and mentioned he shouldn't call be because he was embarrassed over the cards he played. Ooops that means he doesn't have a big Ace. BB reluctantly called and showed 8-6off for a pair of eights on the flop. I wiffed on the river. I will take this guy down next month with my 7-2 offsuit "agressive call" of any all-in move he may make....

Yesterday was a very pleasant day and while for almost all intents and purposes I am an orphan I have been befriended by a kind family that includes me in their holiday celebrations. I knew the host of the Thanksgiving dinner was a beer drinker and expected a few other beer drinkers in attendance so I bought a 12pk sampler of 4 types of New Belgium Beer Co. which included all pictured below except exchange the Trippel for a Belgo IPA. In the cooler in the garage I inserted my 12 delicious bottles of beer alongside a 12pk of Michelob Light (yes, truly ironic). Needless to say the turkey dinner was fantastic and people stopped drinking the Mich and drank the good beer I had brought. A great day was had by all. We concluded the day with a game of Outburst with teams made of up Men versus Women. The Men's team built a commanding lead and the Women's team drew a card my team opened the bidding on: Ways to gamble in Las Vegas. The women put on a collective "oh are we effed..." face and we opened the bid at six meaning the women's team needed to come up with at least seven ways to gamble in Vegas and instead they took a pass. So we needed only six correct answers to make six points and every additional point would be a bonus for us. We needed nine to win and that is what we scored. The only type of gambling we missed was: Wheel of Fortune. My last guess as time ran out was a miss: Does that hooker have an adam's apple?
