My buddy and I have decided to do the grand canyon during our stay in July. We pan on oing on a tuesday. The route we intend to take is rt 93 to rt 40 to rt 64. Can anyone recommend any good places along the way to eat? We plan on eating lunch on the way there and having dinner on the way back.

Also interested in a few rest stops, any tips or pointers on interesting places to stop would be appreciated.

We realize it will be hot, but I have never seen the GC and really want to see it this trip.
