Gonna play Aria 7PM on sunday, Caesars MegaStack on Monday(if bust early ill run a 7PM or 8PM tourney as well), and prob some cash at Trop before I head out.

Okay, here's my 10 day poker playing forecast cross posted from the AVPers visiting in May 2011 thread. Comments and adjustment ideas welcome.

Arrive Wednesday, 5/25, late -- Check in at Harrah's and catch Zzzzs.

Thursday, 5/26 -- Take a crack Thursday at the Orleans Open's HORSE tournament.

Friday, 5/27 -- If I reach the final table at the Orleans event I'll obviously finish it off. Otherwise I may start my morning at Harrahs getting some hours in to qualify for Harrah's Saturday 5pm freeroll before heading to the Orleans for the 7pm non-Open HORSE tournament at the Orleans. I know a guy who qualified for the WSOP Circuit Event National Championship that begins at noon in the Caesars Palace Poker Room and I'd like to check that out.

Saturday, 5/28 -- I'll probably play cash games at Harrahs and maybe Monte Carlo. The $100 Binions 2pm tournament may be an option. But again, the 5pm Harrah's freeroll could conflict. Sam's Town could be an option that day. They they have a substantial 1pm Tuesday freeroll that players can qualify for with 30 hrs...I saw a recent AVP mention that 26 people chopped it. Sam's also offers O8, stud, some good promos...sounds worth trying a different venue. TI is an option too since I could easily get in 10 hrs and play their 10a freeroll. I'm not playing the O8 tournament at the Orleans Open that day. I'm pretty wide open here, just wanting to get some good value. Terri Nunn and Berlin appear at Fremont Street 9p (Man of the 80s I am).

Sunday, 5/29 -- the 10am TI freeroll as well as the 2pm Binions $100 tournament. One issue I'm gonna have to manage is my brother, sister, and nephew will arrive from Colorado mid to late Sunday afternoon. I'll need to meet them back at Harrah's and hang with them. Good time, if AVPers are going playing, to sit in on the $3-6 mixed game at Imperial Palace.

Monday, 5/30 -- no real plans. More Sam's Town? Could be the night my sister and I do the night time zip-line thing on Fremont Street for $20.

Tuesday, 5/31 -- 1p Sam's Town Freeroll? 2p $150 Binions Poker Classic NLH tournament.

Wednesday, 6/1 -- 2pm $150 Binions Poker Classic Limit Hold'em tournament

Thursday, 6/2 -- 4pm $120 Caesars Mega Stack Omaha hilo tournament

Friday, 6/3 -- 2pm $200 Binions Poker Classic NLH tournament

Saturday, 6/4 Depart for Kansas


I'm wanting to get some decent seat time in $3-6 to $6-12 Limit Hold'em, Smaller buy-in tourist heavy but not drunken $1-2 or $1-3 No-Limit Hold'em. I would also enjoy getting some cash game seat time in the Stud and Omaha games. I'd even love to sit in with the AVPers mixed game on Sundays at Imperial Palace.

I'll definitely be playing the NLH Binion's Poker Classic tourneys so look me up. I'll either have my Dunlop baseball cap or my straw cowboy hat on. I'm thinking about doing the PL Omaha tourney on Thursday, though I suck at Omaha. lol 6/1's tourney is a no-limit tourney.

I am hoping to start a trip report and edit it when I can to summarize the adventures each day provides. Stay tuned.

I will be in Vegas with my adult son for a hold’em poker trip. We arrive the evening of June 4. My son usually plays cash games, even though he does very well locally in tourneys. I have talked him into playing some tourneys with me this time out. The tentative plans look like the 10 pm TI tourney on the 4th. We are thinking of doing the Golden Nugget Grand series tourney on Sunday. Monday it will be a morning tourney at TI and the 7pm Aria tourney. Tuesday its the Venetian Deep Stack. Wednesday it will be either Binion’s Classic or if things have been going well the Venetian Deep stack for $550. Depending on how we fare we will of course fit in some cash games and perhaps a WSOP satellite or deep stack daily there. This will be the second trip with just my son and I to Vegas. We had the whole family in January and our poker time was severely limited. I cannot wait to get there.
