...a woman with two kids was almost in tears, her remote wasn't opening the car door and she was punching and punching the button. She was honest to god about to call a locksmith, and I told her I could probably open the door. I took the key on the same chain as the remote, and strange to say, the door opened for me as if by magic.....
I just about wet myself laughing at this one becuase I could picture it at my local store. Funny thing though, I wonder how many younger people wouldn't know how to do manual things when the remote won't work. For example, my kids have asked what the cranks on a rental car door were for or how do we change channels when batteries on the remote are dead.
One last note, I had an employee call in sick once because their garage door opener was broken and they couldn't get their car out. This was a degreed professional that couldn't think of another alternative.
