I've been a member to this site for some time now, stalk it often and post from time to time (seldom compared to the regulars). People that know me in the gaming world know I'm an action junky (most can figure that out quickly). Degenerate? Compulsive? Call it what you want it's hard to offend me. Nonetheless, I figured I'd use this site to outlet some of my adventures and let y'all have this thread as an open invititation to share similar stories or your opinions on my excursions. Just an FYI I'll probably not talk a lot in depth about poker strategy on this thread because my thoughts and beliefs on the game are far from ordinary and I'm not one for bickering back and forth with someone about "good play bad play" etc. All I can tell you is I'm not one for physical tells (although I did pick up a sick one on someone the first time I played with them) and hate Hollywooding/posturing, bad for the game. I enjoy a nice, quick, action packed poker game or I tend to get bored easily and become my own worst enemy. In recent time I've been practicing the skill of game selection rather than jumping in any game which I use to do. Now I wait for a game with relitively deep stacks, buy in for max, and hope there is a good variety of players in game. I think the fun for me in poker is to play different kinds of hands from different positions and different manners. Enough with the rambling here is my "action" for Wednesday; St Louis Cardinals opening night MLB. Essencially +160 on what I see to be a coin flip. Early season game, anyone could win. I'm betting against a team that made some hefty off season moves and built a new stadium, Miami Marlins (formally Florida Marlins). They do have nice new uniforms and logo too, oh no! I just like to bet off feel and during the early parts of the baseball season I can't resist my dogs! What I did was rather starnge for my Cardinals bet... I laced games from Tuesday into them so I have a handful of small parlays riding on the game rather than one straight bet. And no I'm not considering hedging because if I were I wouldn't have put them on the ticket in the first place (at least in this scenario). Wish me luck, or root against me, do as you please but I hope this thread becomes mutually entertaining for you the readers and responders as it does me...
