Going to Aruba 1st week of May 07. Staying at Radisson.
I think Holiday Inn and Rad have only poker rooms on Island,
but read that Marriot might have one also.
Any info appreciated.
Will post report in 2 weeks when I return
Picked Aruba (wife wanted Carrib, not Vegas) because from
limited research seemed better than St Martin for Poker.
Did not know that Nassau Bahamas/ princess opened a
regular room last year, as posted somewhere else ?
Radisson and Holiday inn were only Poker rooms
on Island. ( of the big 8-10 Casinos)
Both opened approx 7pm every night (although BJ & table games opened about 1pm)
Rake is a killer !
in 4-8 limit & 2-5NL, rake is 10% to $6 plus $2 for bad beat jackpot.
In 15-30 limit & 5-5(10 bring in)NL rake was 5% to $10 (plus $2 for bad beat).
8-9+ tables in each casino & Radisson full every night 9pm-12.
Many locals & regulars play every night, & Spanish & local dialect more common than english at table.
They actually had free rolls similar to on-line, but had to
play 20 hrs in prior 14 days( designed for locals).
They said winter thru May 10 quite full, but room thins out week after I left.
They said they would spread any game requested. Always had board for interest, but 6-12 limit 1 night was only game played other than
8-12 L, 15-30L, 2/5 NL , & 5/5/10 NL.
Also tried to get a 60+20NL SNG every night, it got off every other night.
