Im going to Vegas first week of Feb. Looking for the right room to play 2-5nl in. I read from the reviews that Aria is nice to play in (like Venetian) but tends to be a smarter poker crowd.
I'm wondering which of the rooms (playing Tues-Fri) are the best to get the games that aren't the top in terms of player toughness?
Venetian, Aria, Bellagio (only place with $500 cap, others $1k), Caesars... any where else?

I disagree that the Aria is a tougher 2-5NL game. It reminds me a lot of the Wynn from 3-5 years ago. A lot of tourist who stay in the hotel with limit knowledge play in the game and are dead money. You do have regulars but they stick out.
MGM and Wynn are 2 other rooms to check out. At 2-5NL your best options are Aria, MGM, Wynn, Bellagio (Not as deep), Venetian. If you can get a 2-5 NL game in a room like the Mirage or PH you always want to play in those games. More than likely you will have players in those games that don't normally play that limit.

I'm def gonna give Bellagio a try, less deep, and I've never played there. Kinda like 15+ years ago people "having" to play the Trump Taj in AC.
But I might end up finding myself at Aria. Is the poker room far from the parking? Is there a trick to parking closer (using self-park)?
Maybe someone knows a better trick than this one but I just discovered last month that you can self park in the Monte Carlo and it's less than a five minute walk to Aria poker room, without having to go outside, it's connected.
Main Valet at Aria is very close to poker room, but you have to drive on the Strip to use it. North Valet you can get to w/o using the Strip (take Harmon) but it's a long haul to the poker room, as is, I assume, the Aria self parking, which I'm pretty sure is also accessible only via the Strip.
Actually, Aria self parking is very close to the poker room. You go in the same entrance you do for the valet right outside the poker room. Once you park there is a covered walkway from the garage to the hotel entrance which is the same spot where the walkway from Monte Carlo leads into the hotel. You will have to drive on the strip to get there either from Trop or Flamingo. Frankly, I've never had an issue with taking 15 to Flamingo ( I come from the north), turning right on the strip, going past Bellagio and Cosmo and turning in. Then it's easy to get to the poker room using either valet or self parking.

Thanks for the tip, missingflops! Maybe, just maybe, I'll try that some time. But I do have to say I have an almost pathological aversion to driving on the Strip unless I absolutely, positively have to. It's pretty much against my religion.
That said, I suppose if I was hitting the 1PM tourn during the week, the traffic wouldn't be so bad. But what happens when I win the tournament and have to exit on the Strip at 9, 10 PM? Even during the week that doesn't sound inviting, and if it was Friday? Ugh.
I think with my winnings I'd take a cab and come back for my car the next day. Hmm....that thread about Vegas cabs here may come in handier than I thought.
