Don't let him get to you. Your info is definitely welcome and encouraged, please continue to post. JJ hasn't been himself today, not sure why.

I suspect someone has hacked JJ's account and is pranking him.

I stand by my suspicion that JJ has been dipping into the sippy sauce.

I sent LVM a note to that effect earlier today. Recent postings v. atypical.

Doesn't pay to be thin skinned either on this forum, the poker table or life. Let it slide. Continue posting if you enjoy it.

Sorry guys - whoever guessed I went to the cabinet a few too many times was right. It was just one of those days. Not really sure why I posted. I did manage to win $305 in a $1/2 game tonight believe it or not.

Perhaps I need one of those machines you blow into before posting....

Anything special planned for opening day? What time are the doors opening? Not much info on their website regarding the grand opening. I'm arriving into town late night on Tuesday.

The information that I have found is that there is a fireworks show at 11:00 PM on the 16th, with the doors opening right after the fireworks. It has been very odd that information regarding the opening is so scarce.

Last I heard the bankruptcy judge was still handling it. Three were 2 possible buyers, Icahn and another gambling chain. It looks like Icahn will get a bargain on it. Only who knows what a bargain is in today's Vegas market.

Hi all!
My first time post here, thou reading AVP for almost 2 years now. I am a semi pro player from Germany and on Wednesday me and a friend of mine will start our 5th Vegas trip within the last 24 month. First time "off" season in the winter month, but we didn't want to miss the Aria opening. Thou I had an awesome offer from the Bellagio (79/99 per night) we decided to take a room at the Aria. I hope they will grant a rate reduction if we play there frequently.
We will be looking for 2/5NL and 5/10NL games and I hope/expect them to find at the Aria, especially during the opening weekend.

We'll be arriving again in Vegas 16th just before midnight and after a 13 hours flight (yes, I can sleep an a plane!) we decided not to check in before 17th and start our trip with getting to know the new property. For sure a small poker session will be added! :)
We booked at the Aria, 17th til 23rd. I really look forward to it, but I am a bit confused as well, as I can't find any info about the opening.
Hopefully anything is fine with my reservation, I didn't see any deposit on my creditcard so far.

See you soon!
Stefan
