Does O'Sheas accept Total Rewards cards and give you the same benefits as Bally's, Caesar's, etc? ($1 and 28 tier points/hour)

this is my first posting on AVP.i am reinhard a guy from austria.this is in the heart of europe.you know one famous man from my country this is arnold schwarzenegger who was born near my hometown.on october 31 i will be in vegas for my first time.i will stay a month and i want play poker and discover many rooms in sin city.the avp site is excellent i have read the postings and all stuff and very good information for about 6 months.i love the site and the friendly und humorous postings

i will sleep in imperial palace the whole month so i can chase all freerolls at harrahs,flamingo,ip and so on

and have fun at osheas

i am a tight player very patient like the rock type of player.in austria we have only no limit holdem in our tiny casinos mixes in with omaha hi rarely so i do not know exactly the betting patterns how much can you raise preflop or after flop and then turn and river in the limit games. it is offtopc bit one means 2/4 limit holdem?
how high are the blinds?is there one single big blind or two blinds small and big how in the no limit games.
what is the minimum you can raise preflop and was the max.?preflop/on flop/turn/river?sorry for these questions but i come from europe and there is absolut no limit playing culture.
i will also try the omaha at osheas

In a limit game bets and raises are only made in fixed amounts. When a game is described as $2/4 that means in the first two rounds of betting every bet/raise can only be two dollars. The last two rounds will be four dollar increments. There are almost always two blinds. In a 2/4 game the small blind will be $1 and the big blind will be $2. So in the first round you will either have the option to fold, call the $2 big blind, or raise it to $4. If the player behind you wants to raise they can only make it $6 and so on. Same goes on the flop. On the turn and river the first bet will always be $4, the first raise will be to $8, etc. There's also a cap on the number of raises in each round - usually 4.

As you can imagine, limit games play much differently than no limit. Since the bet sizes are fixed and relatively small you don't have the option of leveraging your chip stack, betting bigger to force out draws, or getting all your chips in at once. It's more about recognizing and maximizing your small edges.

Also, $2/4 limit is about the smallest (ie cheapest) game you can find. Most people say there's not enough money to be made to stay ahead of the rake in the long term. Even so it tends to be a fun, social kind of game and a nice way to unwind and enjoy yourself while also enjoying the complimentary beverage service. You will also find $3/6 and $4/8 limit games depending on the casino. Bigger limit games are rare (check the database on the main AVP site to see who spreads what).

Does anyone have any word on how often &/or how well supported the Omaha game is at O'Sheas?

I believe it kicks off early evening (7pm) with no rake for the 1st hour...is any of this true?

Current promos at Flamingo/O'Sheas:

$50 for aces cracked (must be $20 in the pot) between 4am-4pm.

Quads $50, Straight Flush $100, Royal Flush $250 (must be $10 in the pot) 24/7. Double high hand bonuses between the hours of 4am and 8am.

The also have some sort of WSOP seat giveaway going on. I don't have the details but if you play a certain number of hours you can qualify for entry into a tourney to play for a seat.

Single $1 blind. O'Sheas usually goes dark early morning. But that game runs very frequently.

I thought it was a 2-6 spread limit game? Maybe that has changed?

I think the 2-6 also runs with a single $1 blind now (but $2 minimum bet to call) if I correctly understood what someone who plays there often told me the other day. I understand this is a change.

I see what you're up to. Probably a good plan for making it through your 24 hours. If you do O'Shea's be sure they take your card and log you in, and out when you leave. It is the only place in the company's Total Rewards system that isn't wired up for swiping the cards at the table. They're supposed to do it at the desk in the back of the casino after you hand them your card, but I've heard they don't always remember to get it done. I know that matters to you.

The El Cortez 1-3/6 SLHE game, with a $2.50 max rake, is known as the best drinking value in town, and would also be a natural for trying to get through a 24hr thing on a minimum roll. Single $1 blind, $1 to $3 spread limit preflop, flop, and turn, with the spread becoming $1 to $6 on the river. Forget the stud game there; I haven't seen that go once in five years, but the spread limit HE at ElCo goes all the time. It might eventually break in the middle of the night on a weekday sometime near dawn, but even on a slow day runs at least 18 hrs out of 24. I once played for 30 hours there myself several years ago. Don't ask why.

O'Shea's single blind 2-6SL is probably the second cheapest for just logging hours and I suppose Bill's $0.50/$1 would be third cheapest in southern Nevada, and maybe anywhere that doesn't involve playing in front of a computer screen. But Bill's isn't part of the TR system for tier credits.

If Alaska Gal says something different about the blind(s) in the 2-6 you should go with that; she would know better.
